Green Millennium Photocatalyst Solar Clean Technology

www.greenmillennium.com Nano Photocatalyst Coating Technology: The principle of photocatalytic reaction was to accelerate the nature’s cleaning and purifying process using light as energy. Discovered in 1960′s, Dr. Fujishima of Japan found titanium metal, after irradiated by light, could break water molecule into oxygen and hydrogen gas. By restructuring titanium dioxide particles in nano-scale, a number of new physical and chemical properties were discovered. One of these newfound effects was photocatalytic oxidation which accelerated the formation of hydroxyl radical, one of the strongest oxidizing agents created by nature. Using energy found in the UV light, photocatalyst titanium dioxide could breakdown numerous organic substances such as oil grime and hydrocarbons from car exhaust and industrial smog, volatile organic compounds found in various building materials and furniture, organic growth such as fungus and mildew. In addition to its photocatalytic oxidation effect, titanium dioxide coating also exhibited hydrophilic property (or high water-affinity) which titanium dioxide coating attracted water moist in the air to form an invisible film of water. This thin film of water allowed the substrate to be anti-static so the coated surface could be easily cleaned by rinse of water. For years, titanium dioxide was used in many commodity products such as paint, cosmetics, sun blocks, and etc. It is a safe and stable substance commonly found in our lives. Numerous

Cleaning Up the Environment: Hazardous Waste Technology (Green Technology)

Cleaning Up the Environment: Hazardous Waste Technology (Green Technology)

The industrial might of the United States grew in the 1930s and flourished during the two world wars. As businesses large and small supplied the needs of the country, they discarded their wastes in landfills, pits, and waterways. It was an easy and inexpensive way to get rid of wastes before more were made. Waste dumping had not yet been linked with illnesses so few people worried about it, especially if the materials were hidden under the ground or in the ocean. Within 20 years of the end of WWII, those wastes began to cause serious health problems. Featuring full-color photographs and line illustrations, “Cleaning Up the Environment” explores current and emerging methods in pollution cleanup. Hazardous wastes are removed from contaminated places by physical, chemical, or biological methods, and these methods are described here as well as their advantages and disadvantages. This new book takes readers through the entire step-by-step process of finding, testing, and cleaning up hazardo

Handbook of Silicon Wafer Cleaning Technology, 2nd Edition, Second Edition (Materials Science and Process Technology)

Handbook of Silicon Wafer Cleaning Technology, 2nd Edition, Second Edition (Materials Science and Process Technology)

The second Edition of the Handbook of Silicon Wafer Cleaning Technology is intended to provide knowledge of wet, plasma, and other surface conditioning techniques used to manufacture integrated circuits. The integration of the clean processes into the device manufacturing flow will be presented with respect to other manufacturing steps such as thermal, implant, etching, and photolithography processes. The Handbook discusses both wet and plasma-based cleaning technologies that are used for removing contamination, particles, residue, and photoresist from wafer surfaces. Both the process and the equipment are covered. A review of the current cleaning technologies is included. Also, advanced cleaning technologies that are under investigation for next generation processing are covered; including supercritical fluid, laser, and cryoaerosol cleaning techniques. Additionally theoretical aspects of the cleaning technologies and how these processes affect the wafer is discussed such as dev
